VVVVVV is a platform game where you must guide your character through the corridors of a starship.
The game looks a lot like the old Commodore 64´s games, It even shows the typical Commodore loader when starting. The extremely basic graphics and the keyboard controls complete that feeling.
The purpose of the game is to reach the end of each level without falling into the gaps infested by VVVVVVs or touching the moving monsters. You cannot jump, but you can reverse your own gravity by using the up and down arrow keys, to start walking on the ceiling or on the floor. In some cases, you will have to walk over platforms that vanish while you walk on them. The maze will show points marked with a C, that will be the points from where you will resume the game if you lose a life. The game has not any powerup or switch that will let you gain anything. You will find computer terminals that will let you read messages from your lost companions, but they will not give you any advantage.
The demo version will let you play for free the first two of all eight levels of this game.
- It is very challenging.
- The physics are well done.
- The graphics are terrible.
