Video Download Capture is a video downloading tool. It also has a built-in search engine along with a video player for video previews. There are two ways of downloading videos from sites like YouTube: you use the search engine and find your video, or simply go to YouTube and copy the URL into the application. Both approaches work very well.
I personally like to go to YouTube and find my video URLs and then paste them onto the application, but that is simply a personal preference. I do like the option of having a search feature built into the application. When you start a video download, Video Download Capture will ask you in what quality would you want the video. The free version is limited to standard definition and high quality, which would correspond roughly to 360p and 480p. The paid version allows you to download HD content (720p and higher).
Video Download Capture did a great job of downloading video files from YouTube for me. I was of course limited to one download at a time and I couldn't really make use of the built-in converter, since it only converts 30% of your video unless you pay. But if all you need is to download a few videos and don't mind the continuous pop-ups, this app really does the job.
The cheapest version that you can find that gives you more features than the free version is $19.95. If you want to get the most out of this app, you are going to have to shell out $40.
