SnagIt 9.1 is a program from Techsmith corporation. The program is used to take screenshots. Through many profiles, we can customize the capture options. It comes with a photo editor called SnagIt editor.
SnagIt makes screencapturing a better experience with more functionality. You can choose a profile to capture a region, a window, the full screen, or a scrolling window (like in web pages). There are more profiles which allow you to capture a menu, a text from a window, entire web pages and images from web pages.
This program can also record videos of the screen. Every profile has many sub-features like including of cursor in the capture, timed capture, etc. The profiles can be customized according to the users need.
The text capture feature can capture text from places where copy and paste is not available in Windows. It can export the capture into Word, Powerpoint, etc.
SnagIt can also manage the captures, add effects and save them into a single file format using the SnagIt editor.
Though the program has good functionality it has rather high price and the menu is also a bit too messy.

Guest Install seemed to go reasonably smoothly & didn't take an unreasonable amount of time, though on the 1st try, the installation hung after all the files were downloaded. Kingsoft Antivirus found a file it said was suspicious: it had something that malware always used to launch itself with. Sorry for the lame explanation, I'm feeling really sleepy & under-caffeinated.
