RogueKiller is a security software for your computer that detects worms, rootkits, and malware infections. This program features a very efficient scanner that scans every nook and cranny of your computer to find infectious files that may harm you.
In my first test run, RougueKiller detected more than 100 suspicious files including PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) and PUMs (Potentially Unwanted Modifications). This program is efficient in its working because it uses two accurate detection methods: one is based on heuristics and the other is based on the signature finding. I did notice the scans took a lot of time in completing.
Unlike other antimalware software, I found RogueKiller’s user interface easy to use. New and advanced users both will be able to use this program without any hitch. You can scan your system from the main window and you will find your scan results in the History tab. There you can delete the quarantined files as well. In the free version, you will face some limitations. One of the limitations is that you cannot modify the scan parameters to include or exclude certain processes and files. You will see a similar case when you move over to the Settings tab and the Tools tab. You won’t be able to do much in the free version other than scan and remove infections.
To sum up, RogueKiller is one the best anti-malware for your computer. I recommend you to give it a try before settling for one.
- Powerful scanner.
- Uses accurate and precise detection methods.
- Identifies both PUPs and PUMs
- Cannot modify scan parameters in free versions.
