Image Tuner can help you perform the most frequent image-related tasks. Its interface is very intuitive, so you could hardly need any help to use it, but if you want to explore the tool’s features, you can consult the accompanying help document. The utility supports most commonly used picture formats, such as JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF and PCX. Likewise, it supports most camera RAW formats as well. More than just that, it allows converting between any of the formats supported.
The whole process begins when you pick the images to modify, then you can add a series of tasks and finally, start applying the selected changes. Of these steps, adding the tasks is surely the most complicated. In this regard, there is a list of general tasks, such as resizing, renaming and watermarking images. If you choose to resize the images, you can specify a percentage, a preset or a custom size. In addition, watermarking allows you to add an additional image (logo or text). Also, when you change the images’ names, you can use specific renaming patterns. Other available tasks allow you to flip, rotate, sharp and colorize photographs. It is a pity I couldn’t find any automatic correction feature. Luckily, you can export and import a list of tasks to be used as presets, which is very useful when you usually perform the same operations. Unfortunately, the application applies the same changes to the whole list of pictures as individual modification parameters cannot be set.
As a whole, Image Tuner is a lightweight yet effective application. It can process tons of images incredibly fast, sparing you the effort of applying changes individually. So, if you frequently work with images, this is an application I recommend. After all, you’ve got nothing to lose, as it’s absolutely free.
