If you are a movie reviewer, a movie fan, or just want to take some pictures from your favorite DVD or video files, FrameShots 3 could be very useful to you. It can take very good snapshots from a video file or DVD, and apply basic filters to them: brightness, contrast and sharpen. This means that you can not just take exact images from your video sources, but you can improve them too!
Applying the filters to the snapshot is achieved in a very easy way with three slider controls. You can get good results after a few tries.
The only drawback is that you must pay for it in order to get rid of a watermark placed by the program that says "Frameshow 3 Demo".
And talking about watermarks, you can add your own watermark to the capture, specifying some basic options like font, color, and transparency level.
Although it has a very limited purpose, I think FrameShots 3 is a nice program.
If you want to delete the nag text on the snapshots and thumbnails, you must pay the registration fee. Well, it's just 30 dollars...it could be worse, isn't it?
