Flash Menu Labs Pro from Quadroland offers an easy way to have cool Flash menus on your website(s) with eye-catching animations and quality illustrations. A nice preview panel offers the possibility to choose from unique menu styles. I admit: I hardly found such eye-catching menus on any regular website. Knowing ActionScript or Javascript or other scripts is not required, but you will still be able to adapt your flash menu to your wishes: the program has many built-in “presets” and over 70 unique skins. The developer states that “you can customize color scheme of each skin”, but that’s not so simple because flash menu colors are not defined as code (in CSS for example) but in images, which means you need to change background images of menu or submenu items to have a real color change. The program has over 30 visual effects built in with 20 presets, and changing these effects for your desired menu should not be too difficult. You can add to your menu: your own brand images and sounds, your logo, icons, and backgrounds in formats as .jpg, .gif, .png, .swf . The file size of an average FML menu does not exceed 30-40 KB. Flash Menu Labs offers an unlimited number of sublevels - you can add as many menu levels and sublevels as you need.

Publishing your created menu is not too hard. The clear descriptions tell you which script code you need to put in the head tag of your website, and which code in the body tag. Finally it offers options for you to save the source files which should be uploaded to the root of your website. The hard part is editing an already uploaded flash menu.

It's important to set your website's URL in general settings as "Legal Domain". If you make a mistake while editing, and publish a menu into your website with a wrong "Legal Domain", it's not easy to change this. Take care: redirecting does not work. In case your domain is forwarded to an HTML page on another server, you should fill in the URL path and not your domain as Legal Domain. For example: www.decmsmeester.nl redirects to spiderman2.accountsupport.com, which makes the last domain the Legal Domain. In the new version, it's possible to fill in three legal domains, which makes it harder to make a mistake.
