If you are familiar with the Windows disk partitioning tool, you know how clumsy it is. It cannot perform certain essential functions that involve moving data. Hence, for splitting and merging current volumes, applications such as EASEUS Partition Master are needed. I first came across this program when I was struggling with the task of resizing my C: drive; Disk Management in Windows could only partly perform this task.
EASEUS is an all-in-one disk partitioning tool that allows you to create, split, move, resize, and merge partitions according to your liking. It can also be used to recover data from your hard disk, and convert a FAT partition to NTFS. Most of these tasks can be completed without rebooting your PC.
Even though EASEUS is reliable, you should take some caution while using it. First of all, it takes too much time to resize and move volumes that contain data. You should only start this procedure after ensuring that a power failure would not happen. It is also advised to back up important files, since no program is hundred percent dependable.
- Supports MBR and GPT partitions
- Can create bootable Windows disk
- Can add multiple tasks before applying
- Supports only EXT, NTFS, and FAT formats
- Doesn't run on Windows Server operating systems
