City Bus Simulator: New York is a bus driving simulation video game. It has three different game modes: Free ride, Mission and Campaign. The free ride mode allows you to get on your bus and tour the streets of New York. The mission mode lists a variety of driving routes for you to drive. In my testing, I chose a mission in which I had to pick up a group of tourists and take them to the harbor. I had to take the 42nd street all the way down. Thing is, I don't really know the streets of New York, so it was hard for me to find it. It took me a while to figure out there was a map. Also, most of the keyboard controls for driving the bus were not set and I had to assign keys to them manually. After that I was able to figure out what to do but I had to go to the controls constantly to see what keys I had to press. Perhaps, a bit of on-screen help would make this game a lot more bearable.
The graphics are really good for a low-budget title. Buildings are all different and you can see lots of different cars and even other buses and trucks. The physics behind driving and crashing are not very realistic. Sitting on the driver's seat of a bus and working every little detail does seem realistic though. Many people call this game the best bus simulation out there. So many people can't be wrong.
