With the B1 Free Archiver software, you can enjoy using popular compressed files when you download them onto your computer and you won't have to obtain a license or register it. B1's file associations include the most widespread format extensions like ZIP, 7-Zip, RAR and B1 as well as many others. B1 Archiver is extremely simple to use and it works rather fast with large archives that contain many files. All what is necessary is manipulate the main buttons of this archive manager's main window; examples of these are the Create, Open, and Extract buttons.

The software's wizard can be used to obtain a customized configuration firstly by defining Archive double-clicking action in Explorer, secondly by detecting a particular archive's most appropriate or default actions when working with wide variety archives of many different content, and thirdly, when working with large archives, configuring browsing or previewing actions of compressed files and folders without actually uncompressing them.

Further configuring of compressed files and folders includes options that change default settings for naming the contents of archives and their destination locations as well as password protection.

B1 is designed with an improved compression algorithm with much better speed to data compression ratio; this ratio is defined as the size of the compressed file relative to the original un-compressed size of the file. The smaller this ratio value is, the better the compression is. This compression algorithm is the classic LZMA compression, which is the Lempel–Ziv–Markov chain algorithm used for lossless data performance. B1 is also designed with improved speed, for large files, whether compressing, decompressing or transferring these files; and with 256-bit AES encryption algorithm, access to any archive data files, without password permission, will not be possible.

In my opinion, as long as you use your password-protected archives and files, B1 Free Archiver brings you many benefits.
