Many applications can convert both audio and video files to other formats, but what distinguishes Aimersoft DRM Media Converter from other similar tools is the ability to avoid digital right management restrictions from videos downloaded from various sites, such as iTunes and Windows Media Center.
The application interface is not very different from those of other converters. Therefore, if you’re familiar with this kind of tools, you will probably have no difficulty to use it, even without consulting the online help.
The tool supports batch conversion of files in a wide range of input and output formats. The first step is naturally to add the videos or songs to convert. At this point, you can preview their contents. However, it is not possible to perform at least basic editing operations (trimming, cropping), a feature that is increasingly frequent in other converters. After that, it would be time to choose the desired output format. Luckily, there are numerous presets to choose from, and some of them are identified with the names of such compatible devices as iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Sony Xperia. Moreover, you can customize your own presets if none of these meets your exact requirements. It is too bad that this program does not allow using individual conversion parameters, though.
Unfortunately, the trial version of this tool does not support converting more than one minute of each file. However, it was enough for me to check that the application can convert rather fast and without any noticeable quality loss. I’m sorry to say that a quick Internet search revealed some highly dissatisfied customers, who blame this tool for making inaccurate conversions. In any case, I recommend that you try at least the free version before spending money on it.
